what? me??

had a funny day at work todae....was party day..as usual everyone was slack...i was the only one who was trying to organise the children in games and everything...the rest of them were happy chatting with parents and taking their time to get the materials ready....KE spirit i guess....nothing can excite them and make them move faster...even during lunch time, the teachers were helping themselves to the food first before settling the children down...and there were parents around...again KE spirit...filling their own tummies are more important..i guess to be fair this does not happen only at KE....even in my old school there are cases like this...out on excursions, teachers can just stroll ard and leave their children running amok everywhere....just really wonder izzit really me being gan cheong or the problem lies with them being so laid back...anyway the best part of the day was when the accountant was telling me that the school is not making money hence we need to cut down on our expenses. ....already one auntie has left so they are saving on one person's salary...my accountant then mentioned that if the current workload is too heavy for just one auntie then maybe the teachers have to chip in and help to wash dishes and toilets etc...i was dumbfounded...i did not know that in my contract, it states that i am suppose to be the centre manager cum teacher cum cleaner....then the accountant also pointed that the wall outdoors needs a new coat of paint....she suggested to cut costs, the teachers can help to paint on sats.....oh man..now i am going to be a painter too...what is going on man?.....this is not about being calculative but what is in our job scope....oh well, i shd not worry too much abt it..given the ke spirit, we will sit on it anyway...probably will never get done...haaaa
