back from unknown land

yes yes..i am finally back in sg...was a little homesick towards the end of the trip haaa i know i am lousy....now i am back with 4 huge bags.....unpacked everything the whole of last night...did the washing, the keeping, the cleaning....now i am finally sit down to blog abt my whole trip to tw...
first to recap: Where i went
Ximending....went there practically almost every other night coz it is so near to my hotel...a very happening place like bugis village ...got quite a bit of stuff from there
Shilin night market: daddy's favourite place coz of the fried chicken....in our entire trip, we went there three times...good shopping place coz i went gar gar over mayuki over there..haaaaaa...
chiufen: erm....other than the super long bus ride up and down, there was nothing much except for buying food over there
wufenpu: this has to be my favourite place....it is a shopping paradise over there..i bought most of my clothes there
taipei 101, sogo, shinguang san yue: all these shopping centres i just basically walked in to borrow their toilets...things sold inside is comparable to sg prices...but there is good toilets and aircon there
yangmingshan: the scenary was good..the wen quan not so good..i still dun know what is the hype of wen quans....it is just super smelly and hot
taipei underground mall: it is like our citylink mall except it is not so posh....did manage to get some last minute shopping done there on the last day in a bid to spend all my money
danshui and fisherman's wharf: the killer place....i walked all the way to fisherman's wharf from the mrt station..that is a good 20 km...i almost died and my legs were almost amputated at the end of the day....nevertheless, it was a nice seaside and nice goodies to buy...
erm....where else did i go? i really cant quite remember..i only know that i am very lucky to have a goof hubby who can read maps very well...even though this is his first trip to tw, he could bring me around and identify places very well..to me, all the lanes look the same and all the shops look the same too

and now our hotel: Just Sleep at Ximen
location very good....near ximending...the hotel is fairly new so it is very clean...but the bad thing is: they mixed up our booking..as a result, we had 2 super size single beds instead of a double bed...so much for a honeymoon..had to sleep separately...we tried squeezing on the same bed but that means we can only sleep on our sides and cant make any movement...gave up in the bed and had one bed each...other than that no complaints abt the hotel

next: the people there:
erm.....they are generally very scary ppl....they can be polite and nice when u are polite and nice to them but if u step on their tails, they will literally bite ur head off....it is also like that on the mrt train, if u dun move in, rest assured that they will say something nasty and give u a push...but ppl doing sales and very nice...they dun mind if u browse ard and they wont follow u ard like a ghost...oh well, over there we try to be quite low key coz we know the ppl can be quite aggressive if provoked....also their pace of life is much slower than us....basically they seem to play harder than work..oh well..if only we can be like that in sg then we wont need those gracious campaigns...also the ppl there are very trendy...they are all dressed as though they are going for a photoshoot....a little drama at times....got so cold meh? must wrap up like ba zhang

weather: very cool.....the sun sets at 5 pm so u get a little disoriented at time....we were darn lucky coz it did not rain a drop until the last day....we are blessed man...temperature was between 23 degrees to 27 degrees....sg shd have this kind of weather man

food: erm i must complain abt this.....the food sucks...their idea of chilli is pepper...they serve rice at kfc...their miso soup has chicken and carrots in them....their ramen has cai xin in them...the food is so wrong wrong wrong....only decent food is their bubble milk tea, their fried chicken cutlet and their shaved ice.....any food that needs milk taste good coz their milk is so much darn better than us....the rest of the oysters and spring onions etc...sucks!!!

shopping: it is a true shopping haven for teenagers and thin ppl....haaa...why do i say teenagers? coz they follow korea and japan fashion quite a bit....if u wear like them in sg, ppl think u are mad.....why do i say thin ppl only? coz their clothes are free sized...and their ppl are darn skinny...so my poor daddy had not many things to buy.....i did manage to get quite a bit of stuff that is more normal and acceptable in our contexts.....

damage done: erm...shd i even blog abt this here...makes me feel really guilty....i bought 20 tops......5 leggings......20 pairs of socks( they are for work ok?)...lots of hair accessories....2 bags (the brand is kinaz...quite ex for a no brander but i kind of like it..plus i am a sucker for advertising...Hebe is their model for this particular autumn winter range that is limited edition so i bought 2 of them....would have bought more if not for the fact that many of the designs are out of stock in the entire tw!!)....oopsss...and the last thing i bought is quite bo liao...i bought 10 boxes of the nexcare acne stickers...it is half the price over there..i could not resist it not that i secretly want to grow more pimples lah...and i bought loads of pineapple pastry, sun biscuits and other crap....basically most of my money went to food...

erm...phew that is the end of my honeymoon...going back again? i think so..but wont be so soon coz need to stop my bleeding first.....2.5k just gone like that...need to save up...plus i am planning to try for a baby next yr to make it for a dragon or a snake baby and daddy has given strict orders ..no flying and walking too much when pregnant so see first then.....
