hmmm.....thoughts thoughts

been two weeks since i came back from tw...have gotten used back to sg's pace of life....i still have lemmings for things in tw...i wanna get more stuff from tw when i go there the next time man...hopefully it will be next yr...met up with my old pals from poly on friday...had a rather lengthy discussion with them about babies, pregnancies etc...wow..i never knew that it was so ex to send a child to infant care...it costs a whopping 1.5k a mth ....isn't it scary....with infant care and other baby expenses, a child can use it a person's monthly salary..after talking to them, i seriously believe that having children are strictly for the super rich ppl.....was talking to mummy about this on sunday when i visited her...she again reconfirmed that she will not look after my kid when the baby is born...and i dun blame her for it...this generation of parents are still working...why wont they want to quit their job to look after kids? plus even if they retire, they would want to enjoy life and not be burden by a kid..after all they have been working for the past 40 yrs of their life....as for my mil, she actually expressed that she does not want to stop working too...in fact she wants to continue going on holidays and enjoying life and she is hoping that my mum looks after the kid if i do have one....according to koala, his mum will only help to look after our kid if we provide her with a maid...but then her role will then be just keeping an eye on the maid to look after the kid ...which means she will still be going ard with her normal life....sigh...with no family support, it is going to be super hard to look after a child on our own...i am really not too keen on the maid idea coz i would prefer a reversal of roles where my mil is the one who is looking after the kid while the maid just assists....infant care is way too ex...quitting my job to look after the kid full time is out of the question..with the house and everything getting more ex, i dun think anyone can survive on one person's salary solely....in a dilemma...koala has a more optimistic approach...he claims that both mothers say they dun want to look after now but when their grandkid is out, then everyone will be dying to get their hands on the kid...as for me, i dun want to risk it man..i dun want the baby to come out then realised that i am in such a sticky situation..also i got a problem of the space issue....at this moment, i cant have the baby until my flat is ready....but koala is concerned that by then i may be too old for a kid etc....sigh...full of problems...stuck stuck stuck...on a brighter note, another ex parent called me with another job offer...opening a centre...well, i guess i will not be out of job but now the baby issue is really driving me nuts......
